"This is a wine industry focused on quality not quantity....There are many NZ Pinot Noirs equivalent to Premier Cru Burgundy, but it takes time to create truly profound winesequivalent to top Grand Cru. However, in terms of Quality-to-price ratio New Zealand would win hands down, and given the acceleration of quality, it would give me no surpriseto find a cluster of growers inching closer to profound greatness."
