Wine Tasting Notes

Terravin is based on the premise that there is a direct link between the land where a vine grows, the climate and the lives of the families that farm that land. We strive in both our viticulture and winemaking to preserve all that this embraces. The vineyard site is carefully chosen, then, we work with our grower to control growth and restrict yields to harvest fruit that is physiologically ripe and rich while retaining its vibrant freshness.
This is where my 25 years experience in the local vineyards and the Hille family who have been growing grapes for nearly 30 years in the upper Brancott valley combine with an exceptional vineyard site to show Marlborough is capable of a great diversity in wines.
This wines was made from a selection of older vines chosen from the best rows of this mature Marlborough vineyard. The vines were pruned back to just 2 canes in winter, shoot thinned, hand leaf removal and several passes removing selected bunches in a vendage vert (green thin) and post veraison.

A very special white wine that deserves good food and fine glassware as accompaniment.
